Cody Rhodes has no time for the haters.
Ever the professional, it is rare that The American Nightmare is not wearing a custom suit when not competing. From the smaller promotions during his indy run to the big leagues of WWE, many have stated that Rhodes would always dress to impress no matter the environment. While some see the choice of clothing as a sign of respect, others have felt that the Undisputed Champion might be trying too hard, especially in an era where formal wear is on the decline. For those who may be intimidated, Rhodes has a hilarious response.
Speaking with Joe La Puma on Complex’s show Sneaker Shopping, Rhodes stated that those who have an issue with him wearing a suit are in adequate:
“I will probably be a suit guy in the industry forever. I don’t know if this is appropriate for this show or not, but I’ll say it, and I’ve said it in interviews prior, anyone who I’ve ever worked with in business who’s intimidated by the fact that you wear a suit, I feel like they have a little dick, like clearly. Clearly, come on man. Everyone has what they so. Because I don’t want to wear shorts with you. Give me a break.
The energy that comes from people who are like, ‘Ugh, I don’t know man, he’s in that suit, he’s trying to be something.’ I’m not trying to be something. I want to be something. That’s the whole thing. So maybe not…maybe little penis. They know who they are, with the little penises.”
In a previous interview, Cody Rhodes discussed another famous outfit and if it is at all inspired by the controversial superhero Homelander.
