WWE have cancelled the upcoming September 11th Sunday Stunner live event scheduled to take place in Eugene, Oregon.
While no official statement has been made by WWE, Ticketmaster published a generic message regarding the cancellation, discussing the process for refunds for fans who purchased tickets.
“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund. It will be processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 days. If the Event Organizer is offering a credit option, it will be visible within the Event Details of your order, which can be found in your Ticketmaster account.
Please Note: If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will go to the fan who originally purchased the tickets from Ticketmaster. Please see our Purchase Policy for more information.”
The event was scheduled to take place at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon, but despite the cancellation, the Sunday Stunner show was not the only WWE live event scheduled to take place on September 11th, with a second Sunday Stunner event expected to be held at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, Washington.
WWE are currently preparing to host their biggest event in the United Kingdom in three decades. Clash At The Castle is set to take place on September 3rd at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. It has recently been reported that the gate for the event is set to be the highest for a non-WrestleMania show in wrestling history.
