On the December 23rd edition of Friday Night SmackDown Bray Wyatt again came to the ring to address fans and try and work through his demons.
However, mid-way through his promo, Wyatt tailed off and attacked the cameraman stood in the ring with him. The unprovoked assault ended with the cameraman being felled by the Mandible Claw as Wyatt showed little sign of mercy.
Cameraman Breaks Silence Following Bray Wyatt Attack
Unsurprisingly the cameraman was a trained professional wrestler who was drafted in by WWE for the spot. Something not uncommon when Superstars get physical with non-wrestlers. On this occasion the wrestler was independent star JT Energy. Speaking to Bill Apter, Energy has now commented on being taken out by Wyatt.
“I was hired for that night’s ‘SmackDown’ to come in and do a job that I wasn’t sure what was gonna happen that night, Lo and behold I was in the ring with Bray Wyatt while he was what I thought was cutting just a very standard promo.
The power that man holds within his body, I was helpless,” Energy said. “Before I knew it I was thrown to the mat. … Just as I thought I was about to pass out, I was thankfully pulled out of the ring.”
On the following episode of the blue brand Bray Wyatt came to the ring to address the attack. Before the star could apologise he was interrupted by LA Knight who challenged him to a match. It has since been announced that the pair will meet in the first-ever Pitch Black Match at the Royal Rumble. During the confrontation the pair were joined in the ring by Uncle Howdy. The mysterious figure stood between the two men at first before seemingly aligning with Wyatt. However, Howdy turned and delivered a Sister Abigail to the star before leaving.
