In what has been a remarkable 24-hours in the history of WWE, it has been revealed that a company-wide meeting is set to take place prior to SmackDown.
The meeting has seemingly been called in response to former Chairman Vince McMahon returning to the company and taking up a position on WWE’s Board of Directors. WWE recently confirmed McMahon’s return on their corporate website, while the announcement was accompanied by the news that two Board members have sensationally quit.
WWE Schedule “All Hands On Deck” Meeting
It has now been reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics that WWE will be holding a meeting at 3.30pm ET. Thurston notes that he has had this news confirmed by multiple people within the company.
Meanwhile, a report from WrestlingNewsCo has added that the meeting will be “all hands in deck.” All employees will be required to attend.

This news follows an earlier report which claimed that McMahon had a previous return blocked by the Board of Directors. However, due to being majority shareholder, McMahon was able to take a different route.
In a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission it was confirmed that McMahon “acted by written consent” to remove three board members. These were JoEllen Lyons Dillon, Jeffrey R. Speed and Alan M. Wexler. They were replaced by McMahon himself, Michelle Wilson and George Barrios.
McMahon’s comeback is said to have stunned many within the company, with some already reportedly looking to leave.
Vince McMahon retired from his role as WWE Chairman on July 22nd, 2022 surrounded by numerous allegations of sexual misconduct. This has been followed by further allegations of sexual assault. It is claimed that McMahon paid more than $12 million to the women involved in hush money in an attempt to suppress the allegations.
