WWE Reportedly Bringing Shane McMahon To WrestleMania Weekend

Shane McMahon

According to a new report, WWE are bringing Shane McMahon into Dallas for WrestleMania weekend.

Shane McMahon’s last return to the WWE at the 2022 didn’t exactly go to plan. Following his appearance in the 2022 Royal Rumble, reports began to emerge that Shane was no longer with the company after rubbing people the wrong way. Not only did he compete in the men’s Royal Rumble match, he also served as one of its producers, and many in the company were said to be unhappy with constant changes made to the match.

Further reports stated that Shane McMahon had been planned for an appearance in the Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia to set up a WrestleMania match with Seth Rollins, but both of those plans were scrapped following the frustration at the Royal Rumble.

Now, a new report from PWInsider indicates that tensions have subsided and states that WWE is bringing Shane McMahon into Dallas. The report notes that there is no word whether or not he’ll appear on WrestleMania 38 itself, but that he is set to be in town for the entire weekend.

According to the report, the feeling at the beginning of the year was that Shane was taking on the majority of heat since the men’s Royal Rumble match wasn’t well-received, and that once that heat died down he’d most likely be brought back in some capacity.

While it remains to be seen whether or not Shane appears on the Grandest Stage Of Them All, his original rumored opponent Seth Rollins has yet to find out who his opponent is after meeting with Vince McMahon ahead of Raw. His opponent is set to be hand-picked by Vince McMahon himself, and while it’s heavily speculated that a returning Cody Rhodes will fill that role, we’ll have to wait WrestleMania 38 itself to find out for sure.
