A former WWE star is not holding out hope that the call will come for a future Hall of Fame induction.
Although it seemed at one point in time that some stars would never be recognised for their contributions to the industry due to the old regime, the change in management has given fans and wrestlers hope that those who have been ignored for years will finally get their moment over WrestleMania weekend. However, when the topic was brought up to one star who prominently featured in the Attitude Era, they were not optimistic it would happen.
With previous reigns as Tag Team, European and Hardcore Championships, Al Snow was a part of the company from 1995 to 1997 before returning for a second stint from 1998 to 2008. On top of his onscreen work, Snow also worked behind the scenes as a trainer.
Speaking with Jofo in the Ring, the Attitude Era star first stated that he does remain in contact with WWE:
“I speak to them, you know. I speak to a lot of the guys every once in a while. It’s very difficult, though, because they’re really busy. They’re going through a lot with the acquisition by Endeavor, all the shuffling around, and everyone trying to find their feet and settle in. The connection’s still there, but you never know—maybe one of these days I’ll show back up.
In regards to a future Hall of Fame induction, the former European Champion stated that although he was at WrestleMania 40 as part of Paul Heyman’s induction, he does not see it happening for himself:
“I’d be open to [a Hall Of Fame induction], but I doubt it. They did invite me this past WrestleMania in Philadelphia because of Paul being inducted and all that. I hope they extend that kindness again and invite me to be a part of WrestleMania again as a guest. It was great. It was a blast, truly an honor, and I was very flattered.”
Legendary Tag Team Address WWE Hall Of Fame Exclusion
Although there are multiple acts that should have already received their induction into the Hall of Fame, the iconic tag team Demolition is at the top of many fan’s lists. During a recent interview, Demolition spoke about their WWE Hall of Fame snub and added some good news.
H/t to WrestleZone.
