Will WWE Host A WrestleMania In The UK?
Since John Cena planted the idea of a ‘Mania in the UK, fans have been hoping to hear more about it. A few months ago, Nick Khan and Triple H met with London Mayor Sadiq Khan over potential ‘Mania discussions. However, now a major uncertainty has grown over the idea of a WrestleMania in London.
Dave Meltzer reported in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the chance of an NFL Super Bowl in London could crush the promotion’s plans.
Rhodes was on BBC Live talking about Mania in the U.K., and said, “If I’m aiming, it would be cool to get it in the next five years. There’s some really big venues over here that could host a WrestleMania.
There is real talk of that, but when Roger Goodell talked about the idea of a Super Bowl at Wembley Stadium, when it comes to WWE, they’re now in a distant second place when it comes to priorities in the city”
