WWE Announces “Bloodline Civil War” for Money In The Bank

Roman Reigns and The Usos

WWE’s next big Premium Live Event (PLE) is Money In The Bank, which takes place on July 1st out of the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom. Prior to this past week’s edition of SmackDown, four matches had been confirmed: two Money In The Bank ladder matches, Cody Rhodes versus Dominik Mysterio, and Seth Rollins versus Finn Balor.

And now, a fifth match has been added that will see the members of the now-imploded Bloodline faction face off.

Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa to face The Usos at Money In The Bank

In the weeks following WrestleMania 39, internal strife continued to grow within The Bloodline. Roman Reigns was upset that his cousins Jimmy and Jey Uso failed to retain their tag team titles at WrestleMania 39 and berated them for failing to live up to his lofty standards.

These tensions reached their boiling point at Backlash when the Usos turned on Reigns and Sikoa by superkicking both of them. That surprise allowed Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to capitalize and retain their tag team titles.

Considering how long and deep this storyline has gone, WWE has seen dollar signs in the stable implosion storyline and took things one step further with this latest chapter, in which Jimmy and Jey were teased to go after each other once again since their success came from being affiliated with Roman.

But instead of Jimmy and Jey turning on each other, they confirmed their commitment to each other and superkicked both Roman and Solo once again.

With battle lines made crystal clear, WWE confirmed that The Usos will face Roman and Solo in a two-on-two tag match at Money In The Bank, in what is being promoted as a Bloodline Civil War tag match.

No additional stipulation has been added to this match as of this writing, though be sure to check Inside The Ropes for any updates on this and any other happenings within the wrestling business.
