WWE have confirmed that Grammy nominated, singer-songwriter Poppy will return to NXT on June 8th.

The star’s recent single “Say Cheese” is the black and gold brand’s current theme music.

Poppy has previously appeared in NXT in 2019, and the Halloween Havoc special in 2020.

More recently the Nu-Metal star performed at night two of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

On the most recent episode of NXT, Candice LeRae questioned why WWE keep bringing the singer back, saying that she probably wants to be the next Bad Bunny. This had led to speculation online as to whether Poppy will be getting physical in her upcoming appearance.

It has also been announced that Ember Moon will take on Dakota Kai on the upcoming episode. The match comes after Moon and her tag team partner Shotzi Blackheart defeated Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai on May 21st. However, after the match NXT Women’s Champion Gonzalez beat down Blackheart as Kai forced Moon to watch.

The chaos all leads to NXT TakeOver: In Your House where Moon will challenge Gonzalez for her NXT Women’s Championship.

As Pete Dunne, Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano vied to be number one contender, Cole appeared wielding a steel chair. After the show it was announced that all four men would compete for NXT gold at the upcoming special.

The event is set to take place Sunday June 13th.
