Although details remain very thin on the ground, the WWE SmackDown World Cup tournament is set to begin on the November 11th edition of the blue brand. The tournament will feature eight stars from SmackDown, and the winner will receive the SmackDown World Cup Trophy. At time of writing no participants in the tournament have been confirmed.

Also announced for the show was a huge bout with championship gold on the line, and a first-time ever in WWE singles match.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles Will Be On The Line

At WWE Crown Jewel The Usos will defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles against Ridge Holland and Butch of the Brawling Brutes. The rivalry between the two teams has been rumbling on for a number of weeks, with the British team pushing the champions all of the way on SmackDown.

Whoever walks out of Crown Jewel with the gold, already has their next match set. On the November 4th episode of SmackDown The Usos cut a promo toasting their success as long-reigning champions. The duo were interrupted by The New Day and then attacked by the Brawling Brutes. This brought out Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn to even the score.

After the clash it was announced that the tag team champions, whoever they may be, will meet the New Day on November 11th.

It has also been announced that Shinsuke Nakamura will take on Santos Escobar in singles action. Nakamura pinned Escobar in a six-man tag team match on October 28th.

The final SmackDown before WWE Crown Jewel was headlined by the Intercontinental Title clash between champion Gunther and Rey Mysterio. Despite being at a huge size disadvantage, Mysterio pushed the giant Austrian all the way before eventually being felled by a monster Clothesline.
