Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes‘ plans are set for Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia.
The road to WrestleMania has been filled with twists and turns, particularly when it comes to plans involving Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. Original plans for Rollins called for him to wrestle CM Punk on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and even when Rollins suffered a knee injury in his World Heavyweight Championship match against Jinder Mahal on January 15th, he made it clear that he wasn’t going to be missing the chance to defend his title at Mania.
However, plans took a significant shift when CM Punk suffered a torn triceps in the Royal Rumble match, taking away the Second City Savior’s hopes for a WrestleMania main event.
Though Rhodes seemed to have made it clear that he was coming for Roman Reigns following his Royal Rumble win, the February 2nd episode of SmackDown saw him introduce a face-off between Reigns and a returning Rock, a move that was heavily panned both backstage and by WWE fans.
At the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference on February 8th, Rhodes declared that he would be facing Reigns at WrestleMania after all, leaving fans to wonder what’s in store for Rollins. A recent WrestleMania trailer hinted that WWE may be planning to have Rhodes and Rollins team up on night one of ‘Mania to face the team of Roman Reigns and The Rock, and a Monday Night Raw segment featuring Rollins and Rhodes added to this speculation.
Cody Rhodes And Seth Rollins To Appear On The Grayson Waller Effect At Elimination Chamber
Before any of the men can get to WrestleMania, however, WWE is set to present its Elimination Chamber premium live event in Perth, Australia on February 24th. With Rollins’ injury, it seemed doubtful that The Visionary would be wrestling at this event despite his hopes to return to action in a few weeks.
A recent appearance from Grayson Waller on WWE’s The Bump confirms that Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes will be part of The Grayson Waller Effect in Wallers’s home country.
