WWE has commented on the Ricochet attack that took place on a recent episode of Raw.
Following the news breaking ahead of the show that Ricochet had given his notice and would not be re-signing with the company when his contract expired, a follow-up report also added that the June 10th episode of Raw was set to be his final appearance and would see the former United States Champion tie-up any loose ends and be written out of storylines.
First attacking Bron Breakker at the ringside area, Breakker got his revenge later in the night when he attacked his rival in the parking lot. First law-darting the former Intercontinental Champion into a truck, Breakker then slammed the high-flyer onto the windscreen of a car, resulting in the high-flyer leaving the arena in the back of an ambulance while being accompanied by ring announcer and fiancee Samantha Irvin.
On June 12th, the company provided a follow-up post on social media and noted that the Raw star had suffered “Upper body injuries” and would be out of action until further notice, effectively confirming the write-off:
BREAKING: After suffering a brutal attack at the hands of @bronbreakkerwwe this past Monday on #WWERaw, @KingRicochet will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time with upper body injuries.

Although this was the Raw star’s final appearance on TV it will not be his final appearance for the company as he is set to defend the Speed Championship against Andrade on social media platform X. Taped ahead of time, spoilers have confirmed that Andrade became the new Speed Champion at the taping.
Tony Khan Asked About Ricochet
While not reported, many are expecting to see the soon-to-be former WWE star in AEW later in the year due to the promotion being the second largest in the United States and the former Intercontinental Champion’s previous history with Will Ospreay. When asked about the possibility of the signing, Tony Khan gave a very brief response.
