An artist involved in the production of WWE 2K24 has fired back at a common misconception from fans.
On January 22nd, WWE Games officially unveiled the next instalment of the franchise, which featured Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley as the cover stars for respective editions of the game. One of the features that caught fans’ attention was the 2K Showcase mode, which will focus on the past 40 years of WrestleMania.
A poster for the game mode was uploaded by the developer, which fans responded to negatively, accusing 2K of using AI to generate the image, with Steve Austin’s missing fingers being a common complaint.

Setting the record straight, artist Jonathan Bartlett, who created the poster, took to social media to defend his work and confirm that there is no AI involved in the creation of the cover art:
ummmmmm HI. this is 100000000% human made, by me.
But honestly, im gonna triple down on my F*CK A.I, because this is what we deal with now. Skepticism from others that will be quick to jump to a conclusion with out giving it thought. And now here I am defending my hard earned AND learned craft of picture making.
The upcoming title will be available on Playstation, Xbox and PC in March 2024. Those who purchase the deluxe edition will be able to play the game 3 days before the general release.
WWE Issues Major Announcement
