Following the runaway success of WWE 2K22, it has been confirmed that the release of WWE 2K23 is just two months away.
The announcement comes after a series of leaks that stated that the cross-gen game would be released on March 17th with John Cena on the cover. Cena later responded by sharing a photo of the cover on Instagram with himself cut out.
WWE 2K23 Arriving Soon
WWE have now released the official trailer for the game which will be available to buy on March 17th and is already available to pre-order. Fans who pre-order the game will be able to start playing on March 14th.

In the trailer, a number of WWE stars including Austin Theory, Logan Paul, Bad Bunny and Triple H all interact with an invisible John Cena. The ad features the tagline: “See John Cena, “Beat John Cena,” “Be Even Stronger Than John Cena.” There will be three covers available across the Standard, Deluxe, and Icon editions and different versions of Cena will be available on all of them.
Interestingly, the game footage used in the commercial sees John Cena facing Austin Theory. It has been been reported that Cena will be facing Theory at WrestleMania, although there has been nothing official from WWE. This wouldn’t be the first time that WWE has kick started a feud via the release of their official video game with Goldberg’s return and rivalry with Brock Lesnar in 2016 linked to WWE 2K17.
