Fans watching WWE SmackDown before Money in the Bank were convinced that Cody Rhodes was turning heel after a massive moment with Seth Rollins.
Ahead of the final segment on the show, Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman were cutting a promo alongside Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. He was suddenly interrupted by former WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The two top stars came face to face in a heated moment. However, instead of coming to blows, Rollins sneakily whispered something in Rhodes’ ears. While the microphones did not pick up what was said, X/Twitter was rife with speculation as to what it could be.

Many fans were convinced that The American Nightmare was turning heel at Money in the Bank and attacking Jey Uso.
Cody Rhodes was brutally assaulted on WWE SmackDown after the Seth Rollins confrontation
Immediately after the Seth Rollins confrontation, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso cut a scathing promo on John Cena and Logan Paul ahead of their tag team match at Money in the Bank.
Cena then entered the arena, but before he even said a word, Logan Paul knocked out both Uso and Rhodes in a calculated attack. They then launched a vicious assault on the babyfaces with Cody Rhodes eating a Frog Splash and an Attitude Adjustment.
Both stars will likely be battered entering their match at MITB after going through the decimation.
Cena then proceeded to do the unthinkable and pay a tribute to a recently released star.
