Respected wrestling veteran Vince Russo has urged Karrion Kross to leave WWE.
Next week on June 7th, fans are set to witness a promising Money in the Bank match amongst Solo Sikoa, Andrade, LA Knight, Penta, Seth Rollins, and one yet to be decided opponent. One of the most popular stars on the current roster, Karrion Kross, was highly expected to be a part of the ladder match.
Unfortunately, next week on the June 2nd episode of Raw, fans will get to see CM Punk against AJ Styles and El Grande Americano for a shot at the PLE spot. With no spot left for Kross on the card, fans recently expressed their disapproval, while Karrion Kross himself reacted to the news.
Soon after, wrestling veteran Vince Russo appeared on the “Coach And Bro Live” show with former WWE producer Tommy Carlucci, and expressed his opinion on how Kross finally needs to part ways with the promotion.
Vince Russo: “I gotta tell ya, man, if I’m Kross, I’m letting the contract expire because this dude could make a fortune on the open market.”
Tommy Carlucci: “So here’s the thing. Is there jealousy because he can come up with his own storylines?”
Vince Russo: “Yes, absolutely. Bro, the kiss of death in wrestling is when you’re smarter than those above you. When you’re smarter and they know you’re smarter, you’re a threat. If you’re a threat, they’re going to put you in that little box and you aren’t ever leaving that box. I think that’s the category that Karrion Kross is in.”

Karrion Kross was arguably one of the most dominant performers during his NXT run and was a two-time NXT Champion. While he has been unsuccessful in featuring in a prominent storyline on the main roster under Triple H, his memorable NXT run was also coincidentally under The Cerebral Assassin himself.
One of the highest merch-sellers in the company right now, fans hope to see their favorite star feature in a mainstream rivalry soon.
Karrion Kross Had Almost Joined AEW Before His WWE Return
During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show, Karrion Kross revealed how he was on talking terms with AEW following his release in 2021. Sharing how he had almost joined the Jacksonville-based promotion instead of making his return, Kross stated,
“The communication just organically fell off with Cody and me at the time, and in the process of communicating with him when he was there, Hunter had called me and I was like, ‘We’re turning right, we’re going next lane, boom.”
In other news: Stephanie Vaquer has officially joined the WWE main roster.
