Wrestling Legend’s Grandsons Appear On AEW WrestleDream 2024

Tony Khan and AEW continued their tradition from last year at WrestleDream 2024.

Continuing their tradition from WrestleDream 2023, Tony Khan addressed the crowd at the PPV’s zero-hour show. Before the final match on the zero-hour show, Tony Khan appeared alongside the grandsons of Antonio Inoki.

Similar to last year, the promotion’s President Tony Khan addressed the crowd alongside Japanese wrestling legend, Antonio Inoki’s grandchildren, Naoto and Hirota Inoki. He further delivered a speech as a tribute to Inoki, and finished the segment alongside Tony Schiavone with his iconic catchphrase, ‘Ichi, ni, san, da’.

Antonio Inoki sadly passed away on October 1st, 2022, and the event currently takes place in his honor.

Latest Backstage Update On Jimmy Jacobs’ AEW Exit

After earlier reports emerged about Jimmy Jacob’s resignation and exit from the Jacksonville-based promotion, new reports surfaced with more details on his exit. It was noted that Jacobs’ exit from the promotion was due to burnout, rather than the frequent travel schedule.

He was also reportedly very well-liked backstage and was always very eager to learn. The promotion has currently taken his departure as a step toward a fresh creative aspect.
