Former IMPACT Wrestling star Joey Ryan continues to be haunted by sexual allegations.
IMPACT Wrestling terminated Joey Ryan’s (Joseph Meehan) contract in 2020 after several women accused Ryan of sexual assault and harassment. Ryan would file a multi-million dollar lawsuit against his accusers for defamation, but ultimately the judge dismissed the case due to lack of service.
The former IMPACT wrestler had worked for Disneyland theme parks until a photo of him working there went viral. Now, Ryan finds himself again without work.
The Los Angeles Times revealed that Ryan was fired from his Disneyland Parks gig after working there during a three-month probationary status. A spokesperson from Disneyland declined to comment on whether the sexual allegations had anything to do with Ryan being terminated.
Disneyland officials said their screening process for new employees did not alert them of the accusations against Meehan as they were primarily attached to his stage name online. The decision comes as Disneyland Parks try to retrain and hire workers who left during the pandemic.
Ryan has denied the allegations in the past on his social media.
In 2021, his name was involved in an event called Wrestling 4 Women Charity. Although the event was supposed to air on FITE TV, it would be canceled soon afterward.
In a statement released by SoCal Uncensored in 2021, the Ryan stated that he attended Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous meetings for eight months.
