One of the biggest stars on the WWE roster has looked back on their debut match on The Grandest Stage.
Following on from brief cameo appearances in Raw Underground segments, Omos would form an alliance with AJ Styles, being integral in ensuring that The Phenomenal One was victorious in many of his matches and safe from attacks.
The alliance would see the duo gain enough momentum to challenge Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for the Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 37. The partnership would continue to be a lucrative one as Styles and The Nigerian Giant became champions in Omos’ debut match.
Speaking with SEScoops about the match, the former Tag Team Champion looked back on his debut and how each match of his Mania trilogy was more high-profile than the last:
“To be honest, WrestleMania literally changed my life. I made my debut at WrestleMania. You know, with AJ Styles and the tag team titles, I will never forget it for the rest of my life, like that is in my brain. Although I didn’t know I would be booked, the next year against Bobby Lashley in Dallas was tremendous, just me on my own, which I think was my 3rd year in the business to then do it with Brock, that was just every year it just keeps going higher and higher. To me, WrestleMania holds a special place in my heart.”

While not seen since Omos has regularly appeared at non-televised events alongside MVP. When asked about his time away from weekly TV, the former Tag Team Champion stated that he is ready when they need him.
“You know, I’m an attraction, they call me when they need to make the big bucks, that’s when they call me when they need me.”
In a follow-up report, a company source noted to SEScoops that WWE is “holding Omos for the right program for either him or an opponent who could use a big win.”
