Wrestle Dynasty featured multiple title changes and the in-ring return of Kenny Omega.
The multi-promotional supershow, which took place on January 5th at the Tokyo Dome, boasted an action-packed card that did not fail to deliver.
The biggest match of the show was the in-ring return of Kenny Omega. The former AEW World Champion returned to action for the first time in over a year following his long battle to overcome Diverticulitis. However, his comeback match was no walk in the park as he faced off against the ferocious Gabe Kidd.
After getting into a heated backstage brawl at NJPW Power Struggle the two settled their differences in a passionate and bloody brawl that enthralled the viewers. Kidd was the aggressor throughout the match, but Omega performed valiantly and nowhere near like someone who had just spent the better part of a year on the shelf. The Best Bout Machine was back and in full effect.

The two threw everything at each other and battled both in and out of the ring. A ref bump turned the violence up a notch as several weapons were introduced. After both taking and inflicting a barrage of offence it was Omega who ultimately persevered and hit Kidd with the One Winged Angle for the emphatic victory.
Earlier on in the night, Omega’s former Elite stablemates, The Young Bucks became the new IWGP Tag Team Champions. The Brothers Jackson captured the titles for the second time in their careers when they bested the United Empire and Los Ingobernables De Japon.
Another big match at the event saw Mercedes Mone take on Mina Shirakawa in a Title vs Title with both the TBS Championship and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship on the line.
Mone and Mina engaged in a fierce and intense battle but it was the CEO who won the fight and left the match holding three titles.
