NXT Heatwave saw multiple stars from NXT UK make their presence known!
The red-hot action of NXT Heatwave saw multiple title matches as well as a street fight that forced Santos Escobar to leave NXT following his defeat at the hands of Tony D’Angelo. However, while the in-ring action was notable on its own, the show also started a buzz as multiple NXT UK Superstars appeared on the show in a sort of NXT UK invasion.
The first surprise of the night came during a segment featuring the Diamond Mine in which Julius Creed accused Roderick Strong of sabotaging the group. As Strong protested, all four members of the faction were shockingly attacked by Gallus (Wolfgang, Mark Coffey, and Joe Coffey).
Later on in the episode, Gallus confronted current NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen backstage, demanding a match for the titles. Briggs and Jensen said that they’d fight any time, anywhere, and it was determined that the match would take place on next week’s episode of NXT.

The next NXT UK Superstar to make her presence known was Blair Davenport, formerly known as Bea Priestley. During a backstage segment, Indi Hartwell congratulated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter on their NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship victory before being handed a message that had an “InDex Forever” drawing on the back.
Elated, Hartwell seemed to indicate that the note was indeed from Dexter Lumis, who recently returned to WWE television. However, before she could look at the note further, Blair Davenport appeared, introduced herself and claimed to be the “future NXT Women’s Champion,” and tore up the message.
The main event of the show saw former Cruiserweight Champion JD McDonagh (formerly known as NXT UK’s Jordan Devlin) take on Bron Breakker in an attempt to win the NXT Championship. Despite kicking out of multiple spears, McDonagh was defeated in the end, leaving Bron Breakker to stand tall.
However, the show didn’t end there, as a familiar tune played throughout the arena and current NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate appeared on the ramp, waving to his adoring fans. NXT 2.0 went off the air with Bate facing off in the ring with Breakker, both men holding their respective championships above their heads as commentary made note of “worlds colliding.”
