In her first match in seven months, Carmella has won her way into the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
The victory means that the star will join Natalya, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Nikki Cross, and Liv Morgan in the huge match to determine a new number-one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship. The winner will face Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39.
The Fatal-Four-Way Match on Raw also featured Piper Niven, Candice LeRae, and Michin. Niven was dominant early on, but Carmella nearly snuck the win after LeRae hit a Poisonrana on Michin. However, Niven quickly fought back with a Cross-body splash.
LeRae put in an impressive performance, nearly winning the match again after a picture-perfect Moonsault from the second rope. Carmella grabbed the win after Niven hit a huge Cannonball in the corner on LeRae, and she in turn knocked the Scottish star out of the ring. This paved the way for her to pin LeRae.
Elimination Chamber Line-Up
The card for WWE’s next Premium Live Event is beginning to take shape with two Elimination Chamber Matches already announced. Aside from the women’s match, Austin Theory will defend his United States Title against Damian Priest, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, Seth Rollins, and one final qualifier.
Meanwhile, Roman Reigns will put the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against Sami Zayn as The Bloodline continues to fall apart.
On Raw, it was also confirmed that Edge will team up with wife Beth Phoenix to take on Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley at the event. Also on the red brand, Brock Lesnar laid down a challenge to Bobby Lashley for a match on the show. The All-Mighty said that his legal team would need to check the contract, before booping Lesnar on the nose.
Unsurprisingly, The Beast didn’t take this well and laid his rival out with two F-5’s.
