William Regal has revealed how he had to put former WWE Superstar Hornswoggle to bed multiple times after he’d “overindulged” in fan-bought alcohol!

William Regal has been leading the Blackpool Combat Club in AEW, working with an array of top talent including Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler YUTA. William Regal has also been heard on commentary when members of his stable are featured in matches.

Speaking on his Gentleman Villain podcast, however, William Regal has revealed that he would have to put former WWE colleague Hornswoggle to bed after finding him at the bar, after fans had overindulged him in alcohol:

“This is the man who’s, there is a little people conference every year, he’s been barred from it twice for being drunk and disorderly, he won’t mind me saying that. I’ve put him to bed on more tours [than anyone else]. You know, my going out days are over when I got to the WWE, we’d be all over the world on these different tours. And we’d be in these hotels, and I would, you know, I couldn’t sleep. We’ve gone through some of that with what reasons why I wasn’t a good sleeper.

Whenever I thought it was time, I would go for a wander round, and I would go into the bar because there was everybody and the fans, and they thought it was funny to overindulge him in his thing [alcohol]. And I would just put my hand out and say ‘Right, Dylan, it’s time for bed.’ And he would take my hand and I would walk into his bedroom. And I would put him in his bed and I would prop him up in bed with two pillows like The Elephant Man because I always thought if his head went down, he might choke.

I have put him to bed and he used to sometimes be in some not good states. He used to hug me and go ‘I love you, Mr Regal.’ And that was my regular thing for me on many, many tours, because everybody else was doing their thing. I didn’t like it. I didn’t think it was funny giving him [alcohol]. And he’s done his own thing. And he was a young man I used to look after and you know, because I didn’t, I just worried about him, because you know, he was getting out of hand.”

Inside The Ropes recently announced a UK tour featuring William Regal, more information on which can be found here.
