William Regal may have spent most of his wrestling career as a villain and now the AEW star is set to launch his own ‘Gentleman Villain’ podcast.

Willaim Regal’s wrestling career began in his native England where he spent many years travelling to holiday camps as well as appearing on national television while still a teenager by the side of the iconic Big Daddy.

From there, Regal travelled the world, settling in the US as part of WCW before making the leap across the wrestling divide to WWE. During his time in WWE, William Regal captured numerous championships but is perhaps best known for his time as the Commissioner of the company which led to some of the best comedic moments in WWE history.

In recent years, William Regal was best known for his work both on-screen and behind the scenes at NXT as he looked to help the next generations of wrestling stars achieve the same success that he attained.

Following his shock WWE departure in January 2022, Regal has since joined AEW where he is the architect of the feared Blackpool Combat Club of Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta.

Now, it has been announced that the former King Of The Ring will be teaming up with podcast impresario Conrad Thompson to launch his own show. A preview episode aired on March 29th and the description for the show reads:

“The “Gentleman Villain” William Regal will be featured in what is sure to be one of the most talked-about wrestling podcasts in the world,” says the description. “Regal, originally from Blackpool, England, will share stories of his teenage years, spent traveling the roads of his native United Kingdom, wrestling fellow wrestlers, as well as strangers from out of the crowd, as part of a touring carnival act.”

“Regal & Thompson will also talk about his days traveling the world and winning championships in Europe, the Middle East, and Japan before his career brought him to the big stages of WCW and WWE where he won numerous championships and accolades. Another topic will be Regal’s run as the General Manager of Raw and his time as the General Manager of NXT where he helped develop the next generation of wrestling superstars.”
