William Regal Pays Tribute To Triple H After WrestleMania Appearance

Triple H brought the curtain down on his career in symbolic fashion when he left his boots in the ring at WrestleMania and now William Regal has responded to his gesture.

WrestleMania Sunday kicked off with a bang as Triple H made a surprise appearance inside the AT&T Stadium, treating the fans to one more trademark entrance before welcoming everybody to WrestleMania. Following his brief appearance in the ring, The Game left his wrestling boots behind as a symbol that his in-ring days are now behind him.

Triple H recently confirmed what had been speculated about after he underwent serious heart surgery back in 2021, that he would never be able to compete in the ring again.

After Triple H’s gesture, his friend and former colleague William Regal took to social media to pay tribute to the founding father of NXT:

“For 28 years we did our bit together, through up’s and down and some bad but mostly good decisions, to be Pro’s and make the job right. Lots of people got opportunities and made memories for themselves. Job done pal.x”

Regal and Triple H’s relationship dates back to their days in WCW in the early nineties. Both men later defected to WWE at different times and latterly William Regal was a key member of Triple H’s NXT staff both in front of the camera and behind the scenes until Regal was released by WWE in January 2022.
