William Regal Says Current AEW Star Is “As Good As Anyone”

By Joshua Jones. Published 27th June 2022.
William Regal

William Regal gives a massive shoutout to a recently crowned champion in AEW.

William Regal has an eye for scouting talent from his days as a backstage WWE producer to even now as the mentor of the Blackpool Combat Club. Regal has seen the best of the best come and go throughout his nearly four-decade career. One AEW talent, in his opinion, maybe the best to be walking the face of the earth.

Speaking on an episode of the Gentleman Villain podcast, the former NXT general manager gave big props to PAC and said that he’s one of the best pro wrestlers today despite his size:

“I think he’s [PAC] as good as anyone walking the earth. I don’t see anything to do with his height. I know me and him have a lot of the same things as far as music and youth culture stuff, and he just looks like somebody who would smash the granny out of somebody.”

PAC became the first-ever AEW All-Atlantic Champion at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door. He’s no stranger to championships or Regal, as PAC won the NXT Tag Team Championship in NXT while known as Adrian Neville. He’ll have even more time to prove himself in the ring now that he’s a champion again.
