After overcoming Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns is still the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
The victory means that not only does Reigns’ run of dominance across WWE continue, but he has now held the World Championship for a staggering 950 days and counting.
However, things in The Bloodline are far from perfect. On night one of WrestleMania, The Usos lost their Undisputed Tag Team Titles to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Something that doesn’t seem to have gone down well with the Tribal Chief. Reigns again dismissed the pair while the April 3rd episode of Raw was in progress.
It has now been reported that tension within the group will continue on SmackDown. However, Reigns himself won’t be in attendance. The report from WRKD Wrestling notes that there will be a segment that leads to further tension between Jey Uso and Paul Heyman.
“Please keep in mind that things are currently volatile and things can change on a whim: Currently, Roman Reigns is not scheduled for #Smackdown tomorrow night, but there is slated to be a segment that leads to further tension between Paul Heyman and Jey Uso.”
It has also been reported that LA Knight is due to feature in a segment with Xavier Woods. You can find plans for SmackDown including what WWE has already announced below.
- Triple H to address the WWE Universe
- Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens appearance
- Jey Uso vs. Sami Zayn
- Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar vs. Dominik Mysterio & Damian Priest
- Rhea Ripley Appearance
- Imperium vs. The Brawling Brutes

It has been reported that Roman Reigns will also miss WWE’s next Premium Live Event, Backlash. In fact, Reigns might not be wrestling again until WWE heads to Saudi Arabia on May 27th.
It had previously been noted that Charlotte Flair will also be taking a break from WWE.
