Ospreay posted the image without comment, while O-Khan simply said “It is the flag of #UnitedEmpire. Worship.”

O-Khan joined forces with Ospreay during the G1 Climax tournament when he returned from excursion in shocking fashion to attack Kazuchika Okada and so, along with Ospreay’s girlfriend Bea Priestley, help the ‘Aerial Assassin’ finally defeat his former friend and mentor in NJPW’s Chaos faction. Soon after, Jeff Cobb was revealed to be O-Khan’s mystery tag partner for the World Tag League and the newest member of the faction.
The group, at the time calling themselves ‘The Empire’, went on to have mixed success over the next two months, including a disastrous Wrestle Kingdom with Cobb, O-Khan, and Ospreay all suffering high profile defeats at the event.
The following night at New Year’s Dash, they defeated Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, and Yota Tsuji decisively in 6-man action, then carried out a vicious assualt on Tenzan which led to him being taken from the ring in a stretcher. In the aftermath of the attack, Ospreay announced that they would be known as the ‘United Empire’ going forward.
