Will Ospreay is very close to making his pro-wrestling desire come true.
Arguably one of the most popular British wrestlers in the industry right now, Will Ospreay has traveled all across the globe, making a name for himself. Currently, pursuing his role as a top prospect in AEW, Ospreay is also making sure to develop the independent pro-wrestling circuit in his home country.
Earlier this month, during an interview with Grapple Theory, Ospreay opened up about hosting an event with Pro Wrestling Eve by the end of 2025 with the hopes of breaking the record attendance for an all-women’s event in Europe. In a follow-up to this statement, Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan found out from his EVE sources about a historic event in the works.
Pro Wrestling Eve is actively planning the event while looking for a venue and hoping to schedule it in November this year. Brennan was further informed of the possibility of a crossover show at the event.
The Aerial Assassin is now scheduled to face Adam Page on Double or Nothing 2025, with the winner getting a World title shot at All In 2025.
Will Ospreay Publicly Blasts WWE With His Recent Comments
During an appearance on Superstar Crossover, former International Champion Will Ospreay blasted WWE while making a bold comparison between it and AEW.
“Because we smoke them in every field of wrestling. Mate, we’re just better. Like, I respect them. I respect every single one of them there. They’re all vets. They all know what they’re doing. They’re great at their job. They understand getting people on their feet. But we are so much more of a better wrestling company than them. Our guys smoke them every single day of the week. They’ve got good guys, like Gunther. They’ve got great guys, like Randy Orton. They’ve got good guys, like Chad Gable. I respect all of them, but on our worst day, we smoke all of you guys.”
In other news: Will Ospreay hopes to see more women-focused All Elite Wrestling tournaments in the future.
