Will Ospreay Set For Huge Match At NJPW Royal Quest III

Will Ospreay Awarded 27th Five Star Match

Will Ospreay’s opponent for the upcoming New Japan show in the UK has seemingly been revealed.

Prior to competing at All In, The Ariel Assassin wrestled at the REVPro anniversary show the day before. Following a victory against Shingo Takagi, Zack Sabre Jr. would appear at the top of the ramp. Sabre Jr. noted that Ospreay has the IWGP United Kingdom Championship and that the fellow Brit would be the next challenger.

New Japan is yet to make the match official but has announced that Zack Sabre Jr. will also be appearing at the Copperbox Arena on October 14th as part of the Royal Quest show. The NJPW World Television Champion joins Ospreay, Tetsuya Naito, Hiroshi Tanahashi and IWGP Heavyweight Champion SANADA as confirmed names for the October 14th event.

Will Ospreay Triumphs At AEW All In

Ospreay had a busy night at the RevPro show. Along with being challenged for his prized possession by Sabre Jr., the British star was attacked by Chris Jericho at the show prior to their clash at Wembley Stadium. Jericho was all smiles on Saturday, but Ospreay would have the last laugh at the end of the weekend.

Following Jericho and his band Fozzy playing a live version of “Judas” for his entrance, Ospreay would walk out to over 81,000 fans in his home country. The match itself would see Ospreay be victorious over Jericho after the former AEW Champion was hit with a Hidden Blade and multiple Storm Breakers to be defeated, meaning that Ospreay has now defeated Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada and Chris Jericho in 2023.

Continuing the year of Ospreay, the IWGP UK Champion is set to return to IMPACT Wrestling later in the year.
