NJPW star Will Ospreay is arguably the best wrestler in the world and he has revealed who he thinks are the 5 top women’s wrestlers.

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion picked his favourite female fighters in an interview with Dark Puroresu Flowsion.

The five of the top wrestlers Ospreay singled out are WWE’s IYO SKY, IMPACT! Wrestling’s Gisele Shaw, STARDOM’s Syuri and AZM, and British independent wrestler Alex Windsor.

IYO SKY is widely regarded as one of the best female talents on the planet. She is also one of the most decorated. She is the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, a former NXT Women Tag Team Champion and NXT Women’s Champion. Her time in STARDOM saw her capture the World, Wonder, Artist and Goddesses of STARDOM titles as well as High Speed and SWA Undisputed World Women’s Champion.

Speaking of STARDOM, Ospreay also picked Syuri who is one of the promotion’s most incredible talents. She is a former World, Artist and Goddesses of STARDOM Champion plus REINA World Women’s and World Tag Team Champion and CMLL World Women’s Champion.

At just 20 years of age, AZM has already established herself as one of the top female talents and of course, has a very bright future ahead of her. She is a former High Speed and Artist of STARDOM Champion.

Gisele Shaw of IMPACT! Wrestling is known as the Quintessential Diva. She is steadily rising through the ranks and is a former PROGRESS and RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion.

Finally, Alex Windsor is one of the UK’s top independent talents. She is the current RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion and former EVE Champion.

Will Ospreay Faces Mike Bailey At IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United

IMPACT! Wrestling and NJPW recently announced a special inter-promotional event Multiverse United. The event features several exciting match-ups such as Ospreay against Mike Speedball Baily, IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander will be taking on KUSHIDA and Moose vs. Jeff Cobb.

The event takes place at Globe Theater in Los Angeles on March 30th.

The two promotions have worked together in the past. IMPACT was involved in New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom events from 2008 to 2011. Wrestle Kingdom 5 saw World Champion Jeff Hardy defend the title against Tetsuya Naito.
