Will Ospreay comments on rumors about this major AEW signing.
At the Dynasty 2025 PLE, Ospreay defeated Kevin Knight to qualify for the second round of the Owen Hart Cup. While Ospreay was aware that his first opponent, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, is scheduled to face a surprise wild card opponent. As fans continue guessing who the star could be, Gabe Kidd and Josh Alexander have been some extremely common guesses.
Recently, during an interview with The Takedown on SI, Ospreay responded to the rumors surrounding Alexander’s possible AEW status.
“It’s not been confirmed that he’s signed anything yet. But I mean, look, I had two epic matches with him in TNA. If anyone is a big Josh Alexander fan, like, I am. When we wrestled that first time, I had no problem telling him, like, I didn’t really know much about him, but I was a fan the moment, like, that first five minutes I started wrestling with him. I just knew, ‘oh my God, this guy is actually genuinely incredible.'”
He further opened up on the chances of facing the former TNA star in the finals of the tournament.
“So like, having to have that, and then when we done the rematch and he bested me, I would love it for him to be him, and if we were able to meet in the finals to settle the score,” he said. “I can’t really confirm. I don’t think he has signed yet.”
Will Ospreay Comments On His Revolution Cage Match Against Kyle Fletcher
In an interview on the Battleground podcast, Will Ospreay opened up on his steel cage match against Kyle Fletcher at the Revolution PPV.
“I can’t think of another Cage Match off the top of my head that had done the stunts, the storytelling, the drama as well as that. I mean, people tried to top it the next day, and they couldn’t. I just could not believe the output and the support that we got afterward, and just how people just thought it was one of the greatest Steel Cage Matches ever.
I was super out of my depth with that one. I won’t lie to you guys at all. It was crazy to be a part of that, and I felt like a proper pro wrestler out there. I know it’s the Crypto.com Arena now, but that’s the Staple Center, man. I felt like a pro wrestler out there. Kyle Fletcher even elevated himself to new heights. It was a crazy match to be a part of.”
