Will Ospreay Names Surprising Dream Job After Wrestling

Will Ospreay has already mapped out plans for when his in-ring career comes to a close.

Currently signed to AEW, Ospreay has established himself as one of the top performers on the brand and often puts on the match of the night. Although The Aerial Assassin is in his prime and continues to put on great matches, he is also aware that his time in the squared circle will not last forever, especially now he is in his 30s.

As has been seen throughout wrestling history, many former wrestlers go on to find a job in the industry such as a coach, commentator or onscreen role such as an authority figure or manager. However, for Ospreay, his dream job is much more low-key and away from the industry.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Ospreay revealed that it’s his dream to become a postman for the Royal Mail:

“[I want to be a postman] More than anything. As soon as I’m done with AEW, I’m being a postman. I’ll have my house paid off, my mom’s house paid off, my dad’s house paid off. I’m just going to be ‘Alright, that’s me done, going to be a postman for the Royal Mail.’ I would love that, mate. I would flipping love that.

All my life I’ve been wrestling. Got signed at 22, I’m 31 years old now, 32 this year. By the end of this contract I don’t know what I’ll be. I’ll probably stay on, I’ll probably do some type of wrestling, I f*cking love it here. But that ambition of just being like, ‘I’m done. I’m going to be a postman.’ Just go stroke people’s dogs. Here’s your post.'”

Continuing, Ospreay added that while he does love wrestling he does want to one day have a more down-to-earth routine:

“I always think this is great, but one of these days I do want to have a normal life. Imagine just me knocking on your door, Royal Mail outfit, f*cking van over there. ‘Didn’t you used to be Will Ospreay?’ Yeah, I’d love that. It’s great. But right now, the focus is being the best wrestler in the world, performing at the peak levels.”
