Will Ospreay respects the work that the stars of WWE do, but maintains that the AEW roster is better on any given day.
Ever since signing with All Elite Wrestling back in 2024, The Aerial Assassin has remained adamant that the promotion is where the best wrestle.
Establishing itself as an alternative to WWE, AEW has focused more on an in-ring-based product with high-quality matches taking place most weeks. Over the past few years, WWE has put on events at the same time as AEW, forcing fans to choose which promotion to watch live.
On March 25th, NXT Battleground will go head-to-head with the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. During an appearance on Superstar Crossover, Ospreay was asked why fans should tune into All Elite Wrestling as opposed to the rival promotion. In response, Ospreay noted that although there are some talented athletes on the WWE roster, AEW is “just better”:
“Because we smoke them in every field of wrestling. Mate, we’re just better. Like, I respect them. I respect every single one of them there. They’re all vets. They all know what they’re doing. They’re great at their job. They understand getting people on their feet. But we are so much more of a better wrestling company than them. Our guys smoke them every single day of the week. They’ve got good guys, like Gunther. They’ve got great guys, like Randy Orton. They’ve got good guys, like Chad Gable. I respect all of them, but on our worst day, we smoke all of you guys.”

Throughout his time in AEW, Ospreay has made his entrance to the song “Elevated”, which has become one of the most popular songs in the whole company. However, in a previous interview, Will Ospreay noted that a different band offered to record him a new theme.
