Many wrestling fans consider Will Ospreay to be one of the best wrestlers active today, if not the best. He has been praised to the moon and back for what he has been able to do in the ring and above it.
But it turns out that Ospreay puts as much effort and detail into his attire as he does his matches.
Will Ospreay’s special coat came from remnants of a Justin Bieber outfit
While speaking on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Will Ospreay went into detail into the different coats and other costumes he wears down to the ring.
He puts a lot of effort into having these elaborate and exotic-looking costumes, some of which are inspired by video games like the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
But one of his more recent coats was special, mainly because it came from something worn by Justin Bieber. As Will Ospreay explained, his coats are designed by a woman from the Netherlands named Serena who runs a company called Airhead Diva. Part of her work involves finding new materials for Ospreay’s costumes.
Ospreay went on to explain that the people that make the ultra-high-class costumes for people like Bieber usually throw out discarded or rejected materials or pieces.
But instead of one such a piece ending up in the trash, Serena got her hands on it and turned it into part of Ospreay’s jacket.
“Justin Bieber wore a Versace outfit for a Drake music video and she [Serena] found THAT fabric, and was able to make a coat out of it.”
While still on the topic, Will Ospreay explained that all of these coats are very expensive. The ones that follow the Assassin’s Creed aesthetic are, according to Ospreay, “two grand each” (Ospreay doesn’t specify if this is in US dollars, British Pounds, or Euros).
He also has two special ones: the aforementioned Versace coat and a second one that was made in Canada using cruelty-free methods to resemble animal parts. Each of those coats cost “10K” (again, currency denomination unknown).
