Will Ospreay has discussed the recent arrival of Ricochet and why he is no rush to lock up with his former rival one more time.
As many had suspected, Ricochet made his debut for AEW at All In after choosing to not sign a new contract with WWE. Impressing many with his feats of athleticism, fans are excited to see what the high-flyer will do in All Elite Wrestling. Although there are many first-time-ever matches Ricochet can have in the promotion, many are eagerly anticipating the rematch between Ricochet and Ospreay after their clash at Best Of The Super Juniors XXIII created one of the most divisive responses in wrestling history.
Appearing at the press conference following All In, Ospreay stated that while he is excited to see Ricochet in AEW, he won’t be skipping the line:
“I mean, man’s got to work for it though. There’s a long list of people that he’s going to have to beat before he can call out the International champion. But honestly mate, I think it’s been eight years since that Best of the Super Juniors match, and we’ve both gone in our separate directions.
We’ve both done well, but now he’s under this microscope. And maybe, just maybe, I just called him out all those times, just to see if he’s got any bollocks. And he’s shown up, right? He’s shown up. So I like to see what he’s going to be doing here in AEW. I’m excited, and I’m really, really happy for him.”
Will Ospreay Wins Big At AEW All In
Continuing his undefeated streak at Wembley Stadium, the British wrestler became the International Champion for a second time with a victory over MJF in front of a hometown crowd. The victory follows Ospreay’s previous win over Chris Jericho at the inaugural Wembley show back in 2023.
