Will Ospreay Debuts On AEW Dynamite

Will Ospreay

Will Ospreay has made a shock debut on Dynamite, as the New Japan Pro Wrestling invasion of AEW continues.

British star Will Ospreay shocked the world by strolling down the ramp on the June 8th episode of AEW Dynamite.

The surprise appearance came after Trent had come to the ring to lament his recent ROH Tag Team Title match with FTR being interrupted by Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb. Trent was quickly joined in the ring by FTR, who said that he should be venting his anger towards “Will Ospreay’s b*tches.”

At this, Ospreay arrived on the stage to a huge ovation, causing a distraction, allowing Aussie Open to deliver a beatdown to the men in the ring.

It was announced later in the show that Ospreay will team with Aussie Open to take on FTR and Trent on Rampage.

In recent weeks, Ospreay has spoken of his desire to face a “homemade” AEW star at Forbidden Door. The star initially said that he would like to meet CM Punk or Bryan Danielson before setting his sights on the likes of Dante Martin, Jungle Boy and Hangman Adam Page.

After making his in-ring debut back in 2012, Will Ospreay set about establishing himself as one of the premiere wrestlers on the planet. It was this desire, coupled with his in-ring ability which saw him become part of New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2016.

During his time with the promotion, the star has won the prestigious Best of the Super Juniors tournament twice as well as the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship three times and the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship once.
