Will Goldberg Wrestle Again Following Confrontation At WWE Bad Blood?

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has addressed the possibility of Goldberg returning to the ring.

Goldberg was one of several WWE Hall of Famers present at the company’s latest Premium Live Event Bad Blood. Initially spotted watching the action from ringside alongside his son, the former Universal Champion became the centre of attention during one particular segment.

While Triple H was explaining the rules of the brand-new Crown Jewel Championship, he was interrupted by Gunther. The World Heavyweight Champion quickly turned his attention to Goldberg, berating the WWE legend as “a one trick pony”.

Eventually, the WCW icon had enough and jumped the barricade only to be stopped by security. However, Sami Zayn attacked Gunther from behind and as the Ring General fled, Goldberg declared “You’re next, boy” – leading to heavy speculation of a feud between the two.

During the WWE Bad Blood Press Conference, Triple H was asked about the possibility of the 57-year-old returning to the ring by Raj Prashad of Uproxx Sports. While Levesque admitted that conversations about that are difficult as everyone involved gets older, he added that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

Atlanta loves Bill Goldberg and that’s why he was here tonight with his wife and his son. Always going to get a huge reaction enjoying the show. Things get said. I can tell you when Bill came back, he was not too happy with Gunther. We’ll see.

The further you go, time catches up with all of us, right? The further you go, those talks get further and further away from reality. I saw Bill earlier in the day and it was great. I saw Bill later in the day and there was a different look on his face with a spark in his eye. I would say never say never.

Could Goldberg Make A Surprise Appearance In AEW?

Since his last match almost three years ago, many fans have speculated on the possibility of Goldberg returning to TNT for the first time in over two decades by joining AEW. However, it appears the chances of such a crossover are fairly slim.

Earlier this year, Goldberg admitted that there was “not a chance” he’d appear in AEW despite having had several conversations with Tony Khan. Khan himself confirmed the WWE Hall of Famer’s claims but disputed his apparent disinterest in joining the promotion.
