Will Donald Trump Return to WWE? Nick Khan & The Rock Respond

Donald Trump at WWE WrestleMania 23

Could former United States President Donald Trump return to WWE TV soon?

Trump has been a professional wrestling fan for a number of years and has appeared on programming on several occasions. On top of Trump Plaza hosting WrestleMania 4 and 5, the Hall of Famer also played a large part in WrestleMania 23 in 2007. Engaging in a rivalry with Vince McMahon at the time, The Battle of the Billionaires saw each business tycoon pick a representative to battle it out in WrestleMania and the loser being shaved bald. Trump’s choice of Bobby Lashley would defeat McMahon’s choice of Umaga, resulting in Trump and special guest referee Steve Austin shaving McMahon’s head in the middle of a packed Detroit stadium.

During his 2016 Presidential campaign and 4 years in office, Trump would never appear on weekly programming and his political career was never acknowledged onscreen. However, Trump has been in attendance at recent UFC events towards the end of 2023 less than 1 year away from the next election. With WWE and UFC both under the ownership of Endeavor, is another Trump appearance a possibility?

Following his appointment on the TKO Board of Directors, The Rock and WWE President Nick Kahn spoke with FOX News. When Khan was asked about the fans having an appreciation and celebration of Trump, Khan responded as follows:

“Red states we sell out. Blue states we sell out. It’s not what we’re focused on. What we’re focused on is the in ring product and how it delivers to our fans. If politicians are fans of our product, they are welcome.”

The reporter joked about a match between Trump and The Rock in the future, to which Khan responded that he would back his newest business partner if that were to happen:

“Listen, Rock against Donald Trump, I don’t know how that will work out for Donald Trump in the ring.”

Noting the popularity of Trump among UFC audiences, Rock referenced the reaction Trump has received at recent MMA events, which Khan agreed was a “Big ovation”:

“How about that ovation he gets when he comes out?”

Donald Trump Makes Multiple WWE References In Recent Campaign Speech

After losing out to Joe Biden and failing to obtain a second term in office, Trump is campaigning for office in the 2024 election. Currently on the campaign trail, Donald Trump recently gave a bizarre speech which referred to Kane and The Undertaker.

H/t to Fightful.
