A lot of buzz surrounding Karrion Kross ahead of WWE SummerSlam.
The Herald of Doomsday and former Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn are en route to a collision course at The Biggest Party of the Summer, which would mark their rubber match. While Kross has been receiving a ton of attention from fans in recent months, speculations run rampant that WWE is ready to let him go.
Meanwhile, Kross opened up about his growth inside the squared circle recently, talking about the guy he goes to for “devil in the detail” critiques.
Karrion Kross Explains Why He Goes To WWE Legend William Regal For Insights
On the T.I.A Pro Wrestling Podcast, Kross spoke highly of Regal, whom he knew from his days in NXT.
When the 40-year-old was at the developmental brand, Regal was the general manager. While in NXT, Karrion Kross held the NXT Championship twice. He and Regal have collaborated in several on-screen segments as well. Kross emphasized the value he gives to the WWE legend, stating that he needs to know what Regal thinks of his matches/segments.
I still always go to Regal, he has always been my secret weapon,” Karrion Kross revealed. “If I want devil-in-the-detail critiques that only the trained eyes can see and the audience can’t — I’m talking like, stuff that never in occur to anybody.
If I can get him to watch my stuff, he’ll find it and help me fine-tune that. Anytime I go out there, I always go back to Regal, and I want to know what he thinks. Good or bad. I want to know what he thinks.”
The two-time NXT Champion was once a promising name before he was prematurely moved to the main roster and subsequently released. Upon return in 2022, Kross was plunged into a high-profile storyline with Drew McIntyre. But once again, his run fizzled out. Fans have recently caught on with The Doom Walker’s “devil on the shoulder” gimmick, and urge the sports entertainment capital to push him.
But reports state that once his contract is up in August, both he and his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux, will be on their way out.
