As part of the Brawling Brutes, Sheamus has seen somewhat of a career resurgence in recent months. His Clash at the Castle bout against GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship is being hailed as match of the year by some, and while he nearly had the IC Title in his grasp on a recent episode of SmackDown, GUNTHER was able to retain, albeit in controversial fashion.
However, the Brawling Brute found himself in the path of destruction at the hands of The Bloodline on last week’s episode of SmackDown. Following Sheamus’ match with Solo Sikoa, the Irishman was attacked by all members of The Bloodline after Ride Holland and Butch had been trapped under the announce desk. The Usos launched a vicious beating on Sheamus’ arm, trapping it in a chair while hitting it with another chair.
Sheamus’ Storyline Injury Writes Him Off Television Ahead Of His Upcoming Wedding
According to a report from PWInsider, Sheamus suffering a storyline fracture was done so that he could take time away from the company to marry his longtime partner Isabella Revilla, to whom he’s been engaged since September of 2021. The report also notes that Drew McIntyre will be absent from tonight’s WWE SmackDown as well as he’s serving as the Best Man in his friend’s wedding.
Sheamus’ fiancée took to social media to post a heartwarming image of herself and her soon-to-be husband picking up their marriage license in the same place her parents got married years ago.
“FIRST OF ALL, NOT MARRIED YET. But picked up our marriage license today at the clerk’s office in Brooklyn where my Mom & Dad got married. I can’t even explain how special it was knowing my parents sat where we did, doing exactly what we were doing. The second photo is the only photo I’ve known of my parents’ wedding, I grew up looking at it, and today was my turn with my fiancé. I even wore (lent by @miranda.revilla) pearl drop earrings similar to the ones my Mom wore in her picture.
“We weren’t really supposed to go in the back where ceremonies are done since we were just picking up our marriage license, but I showed the clerk my Mom & Dad’s picture and she let us in the back.
“This weekend was STRESSFUL as my fiancé rarely gets time off, I rarely leave the dogs, and we had a day and a half to do as much as possible. And don’t even get me started on our travel yesterday. But we are almost there, with still a few things left to book, and I can’t wait! He has been so patient with me all weekend (and all year through my wedding planning stress and anxiety) and I’m so grateful. I really can’t wait to be Mrs. Isabella Marie Revilla-Farrelly”
During a recent podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page heaped praise on Sheamus, calling him a future Hall of Famer.
