As part of The Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley has proven herself to be a dominant force on WWE Raw alongside Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and her beloved “Dom Dom” Dominik Mysterio.
However, Mami was absent from the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. After having a run-in with Ripley at the Royal Rumble, Beth Phoenix made her appearance alongside her husband Edge, who’d also returned at the event. Neither WWE Hall of Famer had been seen since Survivor Series, when Edge lost an I Quit match to Finn Balor in an attempt to save his wife from a con-chair-to at the hands of Ripley – a con-chair-to Ripley decided to deliver anyway.
Edge and Phoenix called out The Judgment Day at the beginning of Raw, with Beth saying she wanted to get her hands on Ripley to exact revenge. However, Dominik informed the pair that Ripley wasn’t there that night. Beth Phoenix and her husband then challenged both Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor to a mixed tag team match at the Elimination Chamber on February 18th.
The Judgment Day members went to attack Edge in the ring, but he and Phoenix were aided by backup from the Street Profits. In the end, Beth Phoenix delivered a Glam Slam to Dominik to the delight of the crowd in attendance.
Why Was Rhea Ripley Absent From WWE Raw On February 6th?
Though Dominik claimed that his Mami was out promoting her match against Charlotte Flair at the upcoming WrestleMania 39, Ripley’s social media accounts tell a different tale. Posting on her Instagram account, Rhea Ripley revealed that she was currently in Australia visiting family, explaining her absence from Monday’s broadcast.
The main event of the February 6th episode of Raw saw Becky Lynch take on Bayley inside a steel cage, a match that was supposed to take place at Raw’s 30th anniversary celebration on January 23rd but got cut due to time constraints. Though it seemed like Bayley might have the upper hand with interference from fellow Damage CTRL member IYO SKY, the odds were evened when WWE Hall of Famer Lita made a surprise return to the red brand, slamming the cage door in Bayley’s face and allowing Lynch to pick up the win.
