Orange Cassidy reflected on his darker new look.
Since his days on the independent scene, Orange Cassidy has become known for wearing blue denim and sunglasses to the ring, a reflection of his laissez faire attitude toward everything he does.
However, the color of his jeans has gotten progressively darker throughout 2024. The star first began wearing a darker blue denim, and has now changed to black jeans as his preferred wrestling attire. He wore black jeans as he came up short in a bloody battle with Jon Moxley at Full Gear.
Speaking in a new interview with Mike Jones in DC, Cassidy was asked about his change in appearance, and the star pointed out that blood doesn’t stand out as much on darker colors.
“I think it’s because I didn’t want to get my blue denim stained with blood. The light blue denim doesn’t go well with bright red blood over it.”
“Maybe I’m In A Little Bit Of A Goth Phase” – Orange Cassidy
Continuing, Cassidy pointed to a shift in his demeanor, possibly brought on by being betrayed by former allies Trent Barretta and Kris Statlander in the same year.
“We always say that we dress as a reflection of how we’re feeling. Maybe I’m in a little bit of a goth phase.”
Speaking in a 2023 interview, Cassidy hit out at claims that his character is an “insult” to professional wrestling, pointing to the fact that legendary names have chosen him as an opponent.
At Worlds End, Orange Cassidy will take in a fatal four way match for Jon Moxley’s AEW World Championship that also includes Adam Page and Jay White.
