A recent report has provided an update on Nia Jax’s WWE absence.
The former Women’s Champion has not been in action since Elimination Chamber, where The Irresistible Force teamed with Candice LeRae in a losing effort against Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus. With WrestleMania 41 just a few weeks away, Jax’s involvement in the show looks to be uncertain at this time.
Speaking about Jax on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass podcast, WrestleVotes stated that the SmackDown star has not been cleared to compete for an undisclosed reason:
“Nia Jax has been…I want to phrase this properly. Not cleared. That’s the best way I can put it. She was due to be cleared I believe two weeks ago. Don’t know if that’s happened. Obviously, she hasn’t been on TV. Don’t know if it was due to an injury or what not. I do know internally that she’s not been cleared for action, which is why she hasn’t been on TV.”
“I don’t know what caused her to be on the inactive list. Don’t want to speculate. Hate to do that so I just know she’s been inactive with the anticaption of coming back I believe it was back on March 22nd….I don’t know why she’s not been cleared.”
Jax began the year as Women’s Champion but lost the title after former ally Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank contract.
Nia Jax Wants To See NXT Call-Up Soon
Previously a part of the NXT roster, Jax received her main roster call-up in 2016 and went on to win the Women’s Championship and Women’s Tag Team Championships twice. In a recent interview, Nia Jax advocated for a notable name in NXT to also be called up to the main roster sooner than later.
