Dolph Ziggler will reportedly help put over a rising star on the RAW roster.
This week’s RAW ended with Dolph Ziggler returning to cost Theory a tag team match. It’s been a while since fans have seen Ziggler on the main roster, as his most recent run was on NXT 2.0.
Theory teamed with Seth Rollins to take on United States Champion Bobby Lashley and Riddle. As Theory used the ropes for leverage during a pin, Ziggler pushed his feet off the rope and allowed Riddle to score the victory. Afterward, Ziggler surprised Theory with a superkick.
According to Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer, the former NXT Champion was brought back to feud with the new upstart superstar. The belief backstage is that Ziggler can help Theory become a better performer in the ring:
“Ziggler and Theory are gonna feud, with the idea that Theory can benefit from a 20-year veteran type of guy, a very good worker. So Ziggler’s a babyface, they just did it at the house shows. They just want him running around with Theory at shows every night for a couple of nights a week every week for a while because they’re bound and determined to make Theory into something, and (Ziggler) is a good guy to bring back for that. I think they have the mentality that whatever they’re gonna do with Theory down the line allows them to beat him all the time right now.”

Theory shocked the world by winning the men’s Money in the Bank later match earlier this month. He’s stated that he plans on cashing in the briefcase at SummerSlam after the Last Man Standing match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Now that Dolph Ziggler is after the new Mr. Money in the Bank, his chances of successfully cashing in may have dwindled.
