Who Nic Nemeth Believes Is The “Unsung Hero” Of AEW

TNA Bound For Glory 2024 On Course To Break Record Nic Nemeth

Nic Nemeth has given praise to one member of the AEW team who he feels is seriously underrated.

Coming a long way in just 5 years, All Elite Wrestling is a completely different promotion compared to the start-up seen in early 2019.

While some of the best in-ring performers have been signed to the company in the past few years such as Bryan Danielson, Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay, a number of non-wrestling hires have also benefitted the company, including backstage interviewer Renee Paquette.

Receiving high praise from fans and employees during her time in WWE, many were excited to see how Paquette would perform in AEW. 2 years on from her debut, Nemeth believes that the backstage interviewer is better than ever.

Discussing Paquette’s work on Busted Open Radio, the TNA Champion stated that Paquette is the MVP of the promotion:

“Seriously, that is an unsung hero, MVP of AEW because she’s in five, six, seven backstages every night. Every single step of the way, Renee reacts to it appropriately or embraces whatever the mood is, and even last night [on ‘Dynamite’] just in between a very serious promo, she was just throwing the mic and moving it back and forth, knowing the stage direction of what this group was going to do. I said, ‘Dammit, she’s so good at her job.'”

Nemeth also added that Paquette has been “annoyingly good” at her job for the past decade and a half:

“She’s taking our place of being backstage and I think she does such a great job. Being good at this is great. She has annoyingly been really good at this for 15 years,”

Nic Nemeth Wants Match With Former Foe

2025 will be a major year in the professional wrestling world with Goldberg and John Cena both announcing that their final match would be taking place next year. When the topic of one wrestler’s retirement came up, Nic Nemeth stated that he would love to run it back.
