Who Won The WarGames Team Advantages On NXT 2.0?

Two massive ladder matches on NXT 2.0 determined which teams will have the advantage going into the men’s and women’s WarGames matches on December 5.

WarGames has become an annual tradition for NXT, and while the name TakeOver is no longer attached after the switch to NXT 2.0, the most recent installment is set to take place on December 5 and will emanate from the WWE Performance Center.

The Women’s WarGames participants were determined on November 16 when Raquel Gonzalez, Cora Jade and Io Shirai laid down the challenge to Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai. Kay Lee Ray would join the babyface team as a surprise addition the following week.

Fighting for the right to have their team members join the match first at WarGames, Dakota Kai and Kay Lee Ray opened the show with a brutal ladder match that saw both women take massive hits and spills.

In the end, Kay Lee Ray was able to ascend the ladder and grab the contract, securing a victory.

The men’s WarGames match will feature NXT stalwarts Johnny Gargano, Tomasso Ciampa, Pete Dunne, and LA Knight against relative newcomers Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo, Bron Breakker, and Grayson Waller.

In order to determine who would face off in the ladder match to gain an advantage for his team, WWE put out a fan vote and allowed the audience to choose the participants.

After his team cut a promo in the ring, it was revealed that Bron Breakker was chosen to represent Team 2.0. Breakker was immediately confronted by Johnny Gargano, who would end up representing his team in the ladder match.

The two squared off in the main event of the show in another ladder match that had action just as intense as the show’s opener. One highlight was Bron Breakker hitting his uncle’s signature Frankensteiner on Johnny Gargano.

Breakker would pick up the victory in the match, securing the advantage for the young upstarts of Team 2.0 over the more experienced competitors.
