Fans now know when John Cena is expected to return to WWE.
On February 1st, John Cena entered the final Royal Rumble of his career. The veteran lasted until the final two, but in the end, he was eliminated by Jey Uso, who won the first Royal Rumble match of his career in a move that came as a surprise to many.
After coming up short, John Cena declared that he would be entering the Elimination Chamber in Toronto on March 1st in another attempt to secure a title shot at WrestleMania. He hinted that fans likely wouldn’t see him again until that time, revealing that he was due to fly to Hungary to film a movie.
Sure enough, according to a new report from PWInsider Elite, the Elimination Chamber PLE will be Cena’s next appearance in WWE as he is currently in Budapest filming Matchbox, a live action Apple original movie based on the beloved toy car franchise.
When Will John Cena Retire From WWE?
At Money in the Bank on July 6th, Cena made a surprise appearance and announced that he would be officially retiring from WWE in 2025. While many initially expected that he’d be retiring at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Cena later clarified that he would wrestle throughout the year with his final bout taking place in December of 2025.
Suprise Royal Rumble entrant Joe Hendry recently detailed a conversation with John Cena in which he made it clear he wants to be part of Cena’s retirement tour.
Additionally, a huge match is being planned for WWE WrestleMania 41.
