When Is WWE SummerSlam 2021? How To Watch, Date & Time, Match Card

By Gary Cassidy. Published 3rd August 2021.
WWE SummerSlam 2021

With WrestleMania 37 only hosting a limited crowd this year, many are proclaiming that SummerSlam will have “WrestleMania vibes” when the Biggest Party of the Summer rolls into Las Vegas on a Saturday night!

With the WWE Universe returning to arenas across the United States across the past month, John Cena’s return has ignited a spark that seemed to be merely flickering for the past year or so, and this year’s SummerSlam feels like it’s going to be huge!

But how do you watch WWE SummerSlam 2021? When does the pay-per-view start? And what matches are on the card? Here at Inside The Ropes, we have all the information you need to know ahead of the show!

When is WWE SummerSlam 2021?

WWE SummerSlam 2021 is currently scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 21st and will emanate from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will have a live crowd in attendance.

The “main show” will begin at 1am in the UK. However, there will be a ‘Kickoff’ show on beforehand from either 11pm or midnight, with the start time not yet confirmed, which will be shown for FREE on WWE’s YouTube channel, as well as Facebook and Twitter.

How can I watch WWE SummerSlam 2021?

WWE SummerSlam 2021 will stream at 1am UK time on the WWE Network and Peacock, with the pay-per-view kick-off starting at midnight or 11pm.

The WWE Network costs £9.99 per month for subscribers, and can be cancelled at any time. There is a free tier of the WWE Network available, however pay-per-views require a paid subscription – which unlocks all content on the Network. If you’re in the US, Peacock has two tiers – one for $4.99 and a premium ad-free version for $9.99.

Elsewhere, BT Sport Box Office will be showing the event LIVE in the UK. If you live in the United States, the pay-per-view will be shown in selected cinemas.

What is the match card for WWE SummerSlam 2021?

Three matches have been set thus far for WWE SummerSlam! The card is as follows.

  • Roman Reigns defends the WWE Universal Championship against John Cena
  • Bobby Lashley defends the WWE Championship against Goldberg
  • Seth Rollins takes on Edge
  • Nikki A.S.H. defends the WWE RAW Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley
  • Bianca Belair defends the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks
  • The Usos defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championship against Dominik and Rey Mysterio
  • Drew McIntyre goes one-on-one with Jinder Mahal
  • Sheamus defends the United States Championship against Damian Priest

One Money In The Bank contract is still in play, as Big E has a guaranteed opportunity at the WWE Championship or Universal Championship at any time of his choosing.

Watch WWE SummerSlam 2021 live on the WWE Network – and via Peacock in the United States – on Saturday, August 21st.
