Gunther is set to make his WWE return very shortly.
The longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in company history saw his 666-day reign come to an end at WrestleMania as he lost on night one to Sami Zayn. Although Zayn has since appeared on both follow-up episodes of Raw and successfully defended the title against Chad Gable, The Ring General has been notably absent. According to a new update, fans of the Raw star won’t have to wait long to see the leader of Imperium address his loss.
As reported by WrestleVotes, the former Intercontinental Champion will appear next on the April 22nd episode of Raw in Columbus, Ohio:
Following his IC title loss to Sami Zayn at WM, Gunther is scheduled to return to TV this Monday on RAW.
Although not appearing on TV, The Ring General has been competing at non-televised events as part of the company’s UK tour. The match in Birmingham was Gunther’s first international match since his travel restrictions were lifted. The Raw star was previously unable to travel outside of the United States due to strict travel regulations.
In regards to the new Intercontinental Champion, Sami Zayn was attacked by Chad Gable after the leader of The Alpha Academy failed to win the title from Zayn in Montreal.
